The Chenille Plant is an extremely showy shrub. In frost free areas, this plant can be used as a free standing speciman shrub, or display it prominately in a border or hedge. It works great as a cover - up for eyesoars such as air conditioning units, garbage cans, or to create a privacy barrier from the surrounding areas.

It will reach up to 12 feet in height, but can be trimmed easily to a smaller size. The flowers come in shades ranging from purple to bright red, and hang 8 to 20 inches long. The Chenille will flower all year long with only intermittent periods of light blooms.
