Green Island Ficus
Ficus microcarpa var. Green Island Ficus is a slow growing, very versatile plant. As a landscape plant it can be maintained as a low ground cover, or allowed to grow in to a small shrub up to 8 foot. It takes shearing well at any height in between. It is a tropical plant, so it will have to be moved inside for climates where the temperature falls below freezing.
It is great as an indoor plant, adapting well to low light conditions. Bonsai enthusiast are especially fond of the Green Island Ficus because of it ease of care and slow growth.
You are purchasing a well established, very large Green Island Ficus in a 3 Gallon container. It measures approximately 6 to 9 inches of plant growth above the soil level, with 4 to 6 individual plants in the container. No need to hurry to put this plant in the ground. It will do well right where it is until you are ready to plant it in its final home.
