Philodendron bipinnatifidum
Philodendron Solloum
Philodendron Solloum is a great tropical plant for use as either a larger indoor plant, a terrific patio plant, or a landscape plant to fill a larger area. Even though it is a tropical plant, it will take temperatures in the 20's. It may die back to the ground in the really low temperatures, but will come back from the roots in the spring.
It forms a very interesting branchless trunk on older plants. Starting vertical with arial rootlets for support, it eventually becomes too heavy and turns horizontal, running out across the ground. It has a canopy of very large - over 3 foot - ruffled leaves that make this an extremely attractive plant. As an indoor plant, the leaves will stay smaller, darker green and gloosy. The trunk will be very slow to develop, if at all.
You are purchasing a well established, very large Philodendron Solloum in a 3 Gallon container. Each container will have 2 to 3 individual plants, giving you a nice full appearance for display. It measures approximately 1 to 2 feet from the top of the root ball to the top of the head. No need to hurry to put this plant in the ground. It will do well right where it is until you are ready to plant it in its final home.
Shipping Note: Please Read!!!
Your plant will be shipped in its own growing container, roots undisturbed (never bare root), in a reinforced box. The extra weight may add a couple of dollars to the shipping charge, but it's worth it to receive a well-established plant that does not require immediate planting or re - potting. Total shipping charges will be displayed prior to confirming the total order.
