Thryallis is a great little tropical shrub if you need constant yellow flowers, with light green foliage. It has a moderatly fast growth rate, with very little maintenance required. They even flower in bright shade, although they tend to get leggy.
This picture shows the result of a planting in full shade (maybe 1 hour of early morning sun). Notice that they still have a full bloom, but also have a leggy appearance.
Once established, Thryallis likes to keep dry, requiring only light waterings during very dry periods. If kept in a container, it should be very well drained, and allowed to almost dry out between waterings. Although it is a tropical plant, people as far north as Zone 8 say it will freeze to the ground, and come back in the spring.
The base price is for a well established, 2 to 4 foot plant in a 3 Gallon container.
